제31차 APEC(아시아태평양 경제협력체) 정상회의 참석차 페루를 방문 중인 윤석열 대통령이 15일(현지시간) 시진핑 중국 국가주석과 정상회담을 갖고 "러·북 군사협력에 대응해 양국이 협력해 나가길 바란다"고 밝혔다.
윤 대통령은 이날 페루 리마 한 호텔에서 시진핑 주석과 29분 간 진행한 한·중 정상회담에서 이같이 말한 가운데 양국 정상회담은 지난 2022년 11월 이후 2년 만이다.
윤 대통령은 "글로벌 안보·경제 질서가 격변하는 가운데 한·중 양국이 여러 도전에 직면해 긴밀한 소통·협력을 지속해 나가기를 기대한다"며 "특히 북한의 연이은 도발·우크라이나 전쟁, 러·북 군사 협력에 대응해 한·중 양국이 역내 안정·평화를 도모하는 데 협력해 나가길 바란다"고 했다.
그러면서 "2년 전 발리에서 회담을 가졌을 때 다자주의·자유무역에 대한 공통 신념에 기반해 한·중관계를 발전시켜 나가기로 하고 양국 협력에 유익한 대화를 나눴다"며 "이런 공감대를 바탕으로 그간 양국이 올 5월 한·중·일 정상회의를 비롯 여러 계기 활발하게 교류해 온 걸 기쁘게 생각한다"고 했다.
또 "중국은 우리가 안보·경제·문화·인적 교류 등 제반 분야서 긴밀히 협력하고 있는 중요 국가"라며 "양국이 상호 존중·호혜·공동 이익에 기반해 전략적 협력 동반자 관계를 내실 있게 발전시켜 나가길 기대한다"고 말했다.
시 주석은 "지난 2년 동안 국제·지역 정세가 많이 변했고 중·한관계가 전반적 발전 모멘텀을 유지했다"며 "정세가 어떻게 변화하든 중·한 양국은 수교 초심을 고수하고, 선린우호 방향을 지키며 호혜 상생 목표를 견지함으로써 지리적으로 가깝고 문화가 서로 통하며 경제가 서로 융합된 장점을 잘 발휘해야 한다"고 했다.
이어 "교류 협력을 심화하고 중·한 전략적 협력 동반자 관계의 건강하고 안정적 발전을 추진함으로써 양국 국민에 복지를 가져다 주고 지역 평화·안정·발전·번영을 위해 더 많은 기여를 해야 한다"며 "이를 위해 윤 대통령과 인도 역할을 함께 해 나가겠다"고 밝혔다.
