[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 경상남도가 주관한 18개 시군 임도평가에서 우수기관으로 선정됐다고 28일 밝혔다.

이번 평가는 대학교수, 산림공학 기술자, 환경단체 등 전문가로 구성된 위원들이 서류심사와 현장 조사를 병행해 실시됐으며 노선 선정의 적절성, 재해 안정성, 이용 효율성 등을 평가했다.

평가 대상지는 2024년 4월에 착공해 10월 말 준공된 고제개명지구 임도로 거창군은 임도변에 조림과 숲 가꾸기를 철저히 시행하고 절·성토 사면 복구와 녹화를 우수하게 마무리한 점에서 높은 평가를 받았다.

구인모 거창군수는 “임도는 산불, 병해충 구제 등 산림 재해에 신속히 대응하고 산림의 경영관리뿐만 아니라 산림휴양과 산림 레포츠로도 활용할 수 있다”며 “앞으로도 환경친화적인 임도 신설과 기존 임도의 보수 등을 통해 산림복지서비스를 강화하고 임도 관리에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
