브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 지난 3일 비상계엄 선포 당시 국회 봉쇄 임무를 맡았던 김현태 특전사 제707특수임무단 단장(대령)은 9일 "부대원들은 김용현 전 국방장관에게 이용당한 가장 안타까운 피해자"라고 밝혔다.
김현태 단장은 이날 오전 서울 용산구 전쟁기념관 앞에서 기자회견을 갖고 "지금 부대원들이 많이 아파하고 괴로워하고 있다. 부대원들에게 죄가 있다면 무능한 지휘관을 지시를 따른 죄 뿐"이라며 이같이 말했다.
그는 "부대원들에게 국회의사당으로 출동하라고 지시한 것이 저이고, 국회에 난입한 197명의 현장지휘관도 저다. 헬기를 타고 가장 먼저 국회에 도착한 것도 저이고 정문을 봉쇄하라고 지시한 것도 저이다"라며 "후문과 정문에서 몸싸움을 지시한 것도 저이고 창문을 깨고 건물 안으로 들어가라고 지시한 것도 저이다. 건물 내에서 수차례에 걸쳐 진입 시도를 지시한 것도 저이다"라고 했다.
