거창군, 청소년포상제 우수 포상센터 지정

[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 청소년방과후아카데미가 지난 7일 롯데월드타워 SKY 31컨벤션에서 열린 ‘2024년 청소년포상제 포상식’에서 우수 포상센터로 선정되어 ‘한국청소년활동진흥원 이사장상’을 수상했다고 밝혔다.

청소년포상제는 봉사활동, 자기개발활동, 신체단련 및 탐험활동 등 4가지 영역에서 청소년들이 자기 주도적 목표를 세우고 지속적인 활동을 통해 잠재력을 개발하고 삶의 기술을 익히는 프로그램이다.

한국청소년활동진흥원은 매년 우수 활동사례를 발굴하고 프로그램 확산을 도모하기 위해 포상식을 개최하고 있다.

거창군 청소년방과후아카데미에는 2017년부터 현재까지 청소년포상제를 운영하며 금장 20명, 은장 34명, 동장 47명, 국제청소년성취포상제 동장 8명 등 총 109명의 활동에 대한 성과를 인증받았다.

이로 인해 2021년에는 우수 운영기관, 2020년과 2023년에는 우수지도자 부문 한국청소년활동진흥원 이사장상을 수상하는 등 지속적으로 우수한 성과를 거두어 왔다.

특히 올해는 최근 3년간의 포상제 배출실적과 운영의 지속성, 우수성을 인정받아 우수 포상센터로 선정되는 영예를 안았다.

구인모 거창군수는 “청소년들과 청소년방과후아카데미가 그동안 포상제 활동을 통해 이룬 성과에 아낌없는 박수를 보낸다”며 “앞으로도 청소년들이 자기주도성을 바탕으로 도전정신과 잠재력을 발휘할 수 있도록 지원하겠다”고 격려의 메시지를 전했다.
