KT&G가 지난 17일 ‘다우존스 지속가능경영지수(DJSI, Dow Jones Sustainability Indices)’ 평가에서 최상위 등급인 ‘월드 지수’에 편입됐다. 또, 다우존스 ‘아시아 퍼시픽·코리아 지수’에도 각각 편입되며, 글로벌 최고 수준의 ESG 경영활동을 인정받았다.
다우존스 지속가능경영지수는 세계 최대 금융정보 제공기관 ‘S&P 글로벌’이 매년 발표하는 지속가능성 평가로, 전 세계 주요 상장사 2,500여 곳 중 ESG 성과가 우수한 상위 10% 기업이 ‘월드 지수’에 편입된다. 국내에서는 20여 개 기업만이 월드 지수에 포함돼 있다.
