[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 24일 국토교통부가 진주문산 공공주택지구 지구지정을 완료했다고 밝혔다.
진주 문산 공공주택지구는 지난 2022년 8월 16일 발표한 ‘국민 주거안정 실현 방안 신규 택지 조성계획’의 후속조치로 지난 2023년 6월 15일 후보지로 선정된 후 약 1년 6개월 만에 지구지정이 완료됐다.
진주 문산지구는 문산IC, 진주혁신도시와 연접한 문산읍 옥산·소문·삼곡리 일원140만 8000㎡ 부지로, 1만 6000여 명을 수용할 수 있는 주택 6700호와 도시기반시설, 공공·업무 시설 등이 공급될 예정이다.
이 사업지구는 경남진주혁신도시에 인접한 미개발지로, 남해고속도로와 국도2호선이 남측으로 연접하여 접근성이 용이하고 2030년 개통 예정인 남부내륙고속철도 등으로 광역교통체계 구축과 도심 접근성이 매우 양호한 지역이다.
