해태아이스가 ‘제1회 부라보콘 전국 어린이 바둑대회’를 성공적으로 마무리했다고 밝혔다.
12월 29일, 바둑TV를 통해 중계된 최강부 결승전에서 최해권 군(동암초 6학년)이 초대 우승자로, 김준원 군(인천먼우금초 6학년)이 준우승자로 결정됐다. 우승자에게는 1,000만 원, 준우승자에게는 500만 원의 상금이 수여됐다.
이번 대회는 해태아이스가 후원하고 재단법인 한국기원이 주최한 국내 최고 상금과 최대 규모의 어린이 바둑대회로, 유소년 바둑의 보급과 활성화를 목표로 하고 있다.
지난 8월부터 천안, 대구, 부산, 광주, 태백 등에서 진행된 지역대회를 포함해, 지난 달 백범김구기념관에서 열린 전국대회에는 총 3,000명의 어린이가 참가해 실력을 겨뤘다. 대회는 최강부, 유단자부, 초등부(1~6학년), 유치부, 단체전 등 여러 부문으로 나뉘어 진행됐다.
해태아이스 관계자는 “올해 처음 개최된 대회에서 우수한 성적을 거둔 어린이들에게 축하와 감사를 전한다”며, “부라보콘이 바둑 꿈나무들을 응원하고 지원할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
Haetae Ice concludes the ‘1st Burabokon National Children's Go Tournament’
Haetae Ice has announced the successful conclusion of the ‘1st Burabokon National Children's Go Tournament’.
On the 29th, Choi Hae-kwon (6th grade, Dongam Elementary School) was declared the first winner and Kim Jun-won (6th grade, Incheon Munwoo Geum Elementary School) was declared the runner-up in the strongest division final broadcast on Go TV. The winner received a cash prize of 10 million won and the runner-up received 5 million won.
The tournament, sponsored by Haetae Ice and organised by the Korea Kiwon Foundation, is the largest children's go tournament in Korea with the highest prize money and aims to promote and revitalise the game.
A total of 3,000 children competed in the national tournament held at the Baekbeom Kim Gu Memorial Hall last month, including regional tournaments held in Cheonan, Daegu, Busan, Gwangju, and Taebaek since August. The tournament was divided into several categories, including the strongest players, novice players, elementary players (grades 1-6), kindergarten players, and team competition.
‘We would like to congratulate and thank the children for their excellent performance in the first tournament held this year,’ said a representative from Haetae Ice, adding, ’Burabokon will continue to support and cheer for the budding go players.’
