세종시교육청이 2025년 이중언어·통번역 및 다문화 이해 교육을 위한 마을 강사 양성 과정을 운영한다고 발표했다.
모집인원은 이중언어·통번역 마을 강사 20명과 다문화 이해 교육 마을 강사 20명으로 각각 한정된다.
이번 과정은 세종시에 거주하는 시민을 대상으로 하며, 대면과 비대면 수업을 병행하여 2025년 1월 13일부터 1월 30일까지 진행된다.
이중언어·통번역 마을 강사 양성 과정은 결혼이주민, 외국인, 그리고 국내인 중 이중언어를 구사할 수 있는 자를 대상으로 하며, 이중언어의 중요성을 이해하고 통역, 학교생활, 말하기, 단원별 학습법 등을 중심으로 운영된다.
세종시교육청은 이번 마을 강사 양성 과정을 통해 다문화 학생들에게 맞춤형 교육을 지원하고, 다양성이 공존하는 건강한 학교 문화 환경을 조성할 계획이다.
이를 통해 이중언어 교육을 강화하고, 신규 중도 입국 및 외국인 학생들이 빠르게 학교에 적응할 수 있도록 돕는 우수 인력을 양성할 예정이다.
