신용보증기금(이사장 최원목)은 1월 2일 대구 본점에서 임직원이 참석한 가운데 2025년 시무식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.
최원목 이사장은 신년사에서 “우리 경제 전반에 불확실성이 심화되고 있는 만큼 정책금융 본연의 역할을 충실히 수행해 경제 회복의 온기를 확산시켜 나가겠다”고 강조했다. 그는 특히 주력산업과 신성장동력 분야 등 중점정책부문에 전년 계획 대비 2조원 증가한 59조원을 공급할 계획이라고 밝혔다.
신용보증기금은 고객기업의 목소리를 경청하고 다양한 정책 수요에 효과적으로 대응하여 산업 전반을 폭넓게 지원할 예정이다. 이를 위해 스타트업부터 혁신성장 기업까지 성장단계별 맞춤형 지원을 확대하고, 지역 경제를 선도하는 대표기업의 스케일업을 지원하여 지역 균형발전을 촉진할 방침이다.
또한, 탄소중립 실천기업을 위한 우대보증을 도입하고 녹색자산유동화증권 발행을 확대하여 녹색경제활동을 수행하는 기업에 대한 지원을 강화할 계획이다. 해외 진출 기업을 위해서는 해외 동반진출 보증 분야를 확대하고, 해외 판로 개척 및 투자 유치를 지원할 예정이다.
최원목 이사장은 “우리 경제가 어려움에 직면할 때마다 신보는 전 직원이 하나가 되어 믿음직한 버팀목 역할을 해왔다”며, “2025년에도 고객기업의 도전과 성장에 힘이 될 수 있도록 임직원 모두가 본연의 업무를 충실히 수행할 것”이라고 다짐했다.

The Credit Guarantee Fund (Chairman Choi Won-mok) announced on 2 January that it held its 2025 opening ceremony at its headquarters in Daegu with employees in attendance.
In his New Year's speech, Choi emphasised, ‘As uncertainties are intensifying across the Korean economy, we will fulfil the role of policy finance and spread the warmth of economic recovery.’ In particular, he said, the bank plans to provide 59 trillion won ($59 billion) to key policy sectors, including key industries and new growth engines, an increase of 2 trillion won from the previous year's plan.
The Credit Guarantee Fund will support a wide range of industries by listening to the voices of client companies and responding effectively to various policy needs. To this end, it will expand tailored support for each stage of growth, from startups to innovative growth companies, and support the scale-up of representative companies leading the local economy to promote balanced regional development.
In addition, we will introduce preferential guarantees for carbon-neutral companies and expand the issuance of green asset-backed securities to strengthen support for companies conducting green economy activities. For overseas companies, the BOK will expand the field of overseas joint venture guarantees and support overseas market development and investment attraction.
