송경훈 제주항공 경영지원본부장은 3일 오후 서울 강서 메이필드 호텔에서 6차 브리핑을 열고 “1~3월 1900편 감편 운항을 진행한다”며 “행정 절차를 마무리하는 대로 예약자에게 차례로 안내 드리겠다”고 말했다.
구체적인 노선은 공개하지 않았지만, 국내선을 포함한 일본·동남아 등에서 하루 2편 이상 운항 빈도가 높은 노선으로 축소할 것으로 보인다.
송 본부장은 “매출을 고려할 상황이 아니다. 약속한 대로 운항 안정성을 고려하는 것이 현 상황에서는 우선 과제다”고 전했다.
또한, 송 본부장은 참사 유가족 지원 방안에 대해 “장례비와 조의금 지급에 관해 유족과 협의를 시작했다”며 “지급 절차를 개별적으로 안내해 신속하게 지급될 수 있도록 하겠다.보험사와도 협의가 진행 중이다”고 설명했다.
이 외에도 항공권 취소가 유동성 위기로 이어질 수 있다는 일각의 우려에는 대해서는 “2600억 선수금 중 일부가 취소된 상황이다”며 “반대로 예약 유입도 이뤄지고 있다. 현재 1400억원 수준의 현금이 확보됐다”고 말했다.
