대통령경호처가 5일 더불어민주당의 '지난 3일 고위공직자범죄수사처(공수처)의 윤석열 대통령에 대한 체포영장 집행 시도 과정서 박종준 경호처장이 발포 명령을 내렸다'는 주장은 허위라며 법적 대응하겠다고 밝혔다.
경호처는 5일 오후 언론 공지에서 "오늘 정치권 일부에서 주장한 '박종준 경호처장의 공수처 관계자에 대한 발포 명령'은 전혀 사실이 아니다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
그러면서 "박 경호처장은 지난 3일 수사기관의 영장 집행 시도 과정서 공수처 직원들에 대한 발포 명령을 내린 적도 검토한 적도 없음을 분명히 밝힌다"며 "경호처는 공수처와의 물리적 충돌이 발생않도록 최선을 다했다"고 강조했다.
또 "확인되지 않은 일방적 주장에 강한 유감을 표하며 허위사실 유포에 대해선 법적 책임을 묻도록 하겠다"고 덧붙였다.
