유한양행(대표 조욱제)은 2024년 12월 26일부터 31일까지 진행한 ‘연말 바자회&경매’를 통해 4,700만 원의 기부금을 조성했다고 1월 7일 밝혔다. 기부금은 장애인 자립지원과 소아암 환자 치료비 지원에 사용될 예정이다.
이번 행사는 유한양행 본사, 공장 및 연구소에서 진행되었으며, 임직원과 자사 광고모델이 기부한 다양한 물품이 판매됐다. 바자회는 12월 26일부터 이틀간 진행되었고, 발달장애인의 자립을 지원하는 ‘굿윌스토어’와 협력하여 운영됐다. 판매 품목으로는 해피홈 파워캡슐 세탁세제, 유한락스, 웰니스 반려견 사료 등 자사 제품과 임직원이 기부한 의류 및 생활용품이 포함됐다.
경매는 30일과 31일 점심시간에 온라인으로 진행되었으며, 임직원이 기부한 향수, 주류, 장신구와 자사 광고모델이 기부한 의류 및 싸인 스포츠 용품이 판매됐다.
유한양행 관계자는 “지난 6년간 바자회&경매를 통해 1억3천만원의 누적 기부금을 조성했으며, 이를 통해 어려운 이웃을 도울 수 있었다”고 전하며, “2025년에도 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 통해 기업의 사회적 책임을 다할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
Yuhan donates KRW 47 million through year-end bazaar & auction
Ltd. announced on 7 January that it raised KRW 47 million in donations through the ‘Year-end Bazaar & Auction’ held from 26 to 31 December 2024. The donation will be used to support the independence of people with disabilities and to pay for the treatment of children with cancer.
The event was held at the company's headquarters, factories, and research centres, where various items donated by employees and the company's advertising models were sold. The bazaar lasted for two days from 26 December and was run in collaboration with the Goodwill Store, which supports the independence of people with developmental disabilities. Items for sale included Happy Home Power Capsule laundry detergent, Yuhan Lax, Wellness dog food, and other products, as well as clothing and household items donated by employees.
The auction was held online during lunch breaks on the 30th and 31st, and included perfumes, liquor, and jewellery donated by employees, as well as clothing and autographed sporting goods donated by the company's advertising models.
‘Over the past six years, we have raised a cumulative donation of KRW 130 million through the bazaar and auction, which has enabled us to help our neighbours in need,’ said a spokesperson for the company. ’We will continue to fulfil our corporate social responsibility through various social contribution activities in 2025.’
