브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= LG가 설 명절을 앞두고 협력사 납품대금을 조기에 지급하며 내수 경기 활성화에 동참한다.
LG전자, LG디스플레이, LG이노텍, LG화학, LG에너지솔루션, LG생활건강, LG유플러스, LG CNS, D&O 등 9개 계열사는 설 명절에 앞서 협력사 및 지역사회와의 상생을 위해 납품대금을 최대 22일 앞당겨 지급한다. 조기 지급하는 납품대금은 총 1조5000억 원 규모다.
설 명절을 앞두고 자금 조달에 어려움을 겪는 협력사의 자금 운영에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.
LG 계열사들은 납품대금 조기 지급 외에도 협력사가 저금리로 대출을 받아 자금을 조달할 수 있도록 상생협력펀드, 직접 대출 등을 포함한 1조2300억 원 규모의 금융 지원 프로그램을 운영하고 있다.
LG전자는 시중 은행과 예탁·출연금으로 총 3000억 원 규모 상생협력펀드를 운영하며 경영자금이 필요한 협력사에 저금리 대출을 지원하고 있다. 신규 및 자동화 설비투자를 필요로 하는 협력사에는 매년 400억 원 규모의 자금을 무이자로 직접 제공하고 있다.
LG이노텍은 1430억 원 규모의 동반성장펀드를 운영하면서 협력사의 자금 조달에 직접적인 도움을 주고 있으며, LG에너지솔루션은 2020년 1500억 원 규모의 투자지원펀드를 조성해 중소기업의 설비, 운영자금에 대한 금리우대 등 금융 지원을 제공하고 있다.
LG 관계자는 “내수 침체 상황에서 납품대금 조기 지급이 협력사에 실질적인 보탬이 되기를 바란다”며 “LG는 금융비용 부담이 커진 협력사를 돕기 위해 다양한 지원 프로그램을 마련하고, 상생 협력을 더욱 강화하겠다”고 전했다.
한편, LG 계열사들은 설 명절을 맞아 지역 이웃들에게 생활용품, 식료품 등 생필품을 전달하며 온정을 나눌 계획이다.
LG전자는 자매결연을 맺은 마을 10곳에 총 3000kg의 김치를 기부하고, 대한사회복지회를 통해 아동, 노인 등 취약계층 보호소에도 총 1000kg의 김치를 기부할 계획이다.
LG디스플레이는 파주 및 구미에서, LG화학은 여수, 대산에서 지역 이웃 및 소외 계층에게 생필품, 난방용품 등을 전달한다. LG생활건강은 전국 여성 청소년 기관, 노인복지시설 등에 생활용품, 화장품, 음료를 기부할 계획이다.
