[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 경남도에서 주관하는 2025년 찾아가는 빨래방 서비스 사업과 연계해 빨래방을 찾는 어르신들을 대상으로 치매조기검진을 실시한다고 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 홀로 어르신들의 대형 빨래의 어려움을 덜 수 있도록 돕는 빨래방 서비스 이용 중 대기시간을 활용해 치매 예방교육과 인지선별검사 등을 제공한다.
이에 14일 웅양면 누룩재마을을 시작으로 21일 주상면 도동마을, 23일 가북면 율리마을 등 빨래방을 찾는 어르신들을 대상으로 검진한다.
치매예방교육에서는 치매의 원인과 증상, 예방법 등 올바른 정보를 제공해 치매에 대한 부정적인 인식을 완화하고 교육 후에는 대상자와 검사자가 1대1로 문답 형식의 인지선별검사를 진행한다.
인지선별검사 항목은 총 13개 문항으로 기억력, 지남력 등 6개 인지기능 영역을 평가하며 검사 결과 인지저하자로 판정되는 경우 협약병원으로 정밀검사를 의뢰해 치매를 조기 발견할 수 있도록 돕는다.
이 외에도 참여자들에게 건강상담을 제공하고 치매안심센터 서비스 이용 방법도 안내한다.
구인모 군수는 “개별적으로 제공되던 서비스들을 연계해 지역 주민들에게 효과적인 통합서비스를 제공함으로써 어르신들이 건강하고 행복한 노후를 보낼 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
한편 거창군치매안심센터에서는 치매를 조기발견과 중증화 억제를 위해 관내 만 60세 이상 어르신을 대상으로 한 인지선별검사를 운영하고 있으며 그 외에도 치매치료관리비 지원과 치매환자 쉼터 운영 등 다양한 사업을 펼치고 있다.
