브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 도널드 트럼프 47대 미국 대통령이 20일(현지 시간) 공식 취임했다.
AP통신에 따르면 트럼프 대통령은 이날 연방의회 의사당 중앙홀(로툰다)에서 진행된 취임식 취임사에서 "나는 미국을 최우선으로 두겠다. 미국의 황금기는 지금 바로 시작된다"고 선언했다.
특히 아메리칸 퍼스트를 앞세웠던 트럼프 대통령은 "트럼프 정부에서는 단 하루도 우리가 (타국에) 이용당하는 일이 없게 하겠다"면서 "우리는 주권을 되찾고 안전을 회복하겠다. 악랄하고 폭력적이며 불공정한 무기화는 끝날 것"이라고 목소리를 높였다.
이어 "미국의 노동자와 가족을 보호하기 위해 무역 시스템 개편을 즉시 시작하겠다"라며 "우리 자국민을 풍요롭게 하기 위해 외국에 관세와 세금을 부과할 것이다. 이를 위해 우리는 모든 관세와 수입을 징수하는 관세청을 설립할 것"이라고 설명했다.
트럼프 대통령은 그간 모든 수입품에 10~20%의 보편 관세를 부과하고 중국에 대해선 60%의 관세를 부과하겠다고 공언했다.

트럼프 대통령은 이날 첫 행정명령으로 "남부 국경에 비상사태를 선포할 것"이라며 "모든 불법 체류자는 단속의 대상이 되는 동시에 수백만 명의 범죄자, 외국인 범죄자가 본국으로 송환될 것"이라고 했다.
트럼프 대통령은 또 '국가 에너지 비상사태'를 선포한다면서, 미국 내 원유와 천연가스 시추를 늘려 에너지 강국으로 도약하겠다는 공약을 재차 강조하기도 했다.
아울러 바이든 정부에서 강조해온 '그린 뉴딜'에 대해서도 "이제 끝났다"며 "전기 차동차 의무와 정책도 폐기할 것"이라고 주장했다.
한편 이날 취임에는 조 바이든 대통령 부부, 빌 클린턴 전 대통령 부부, 버락 오바마 전 대통령 등 내빈 800여 명이 참석했다.
아울러 트럼프 대통령은 78세 7개월의 나이로, 미 역대 최고령 대통령 기록을 세우기도 했다. 2021년 퇴임 후 4년 만에 재집권에 성공한 사례도 132년 만에 처음이다.
