브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= LG유플러스가 집안 어디서나 IPTV 서비스를 이용할 수 있는 ‘U+tv 프리5 SE’를 출시했다.
U+tv 프리5 SE는 지난해 출시된 삼성전자의 ‘갤럭시탭 S9 FE+’ 모델을 기반으로 만들어진 이동형 IPTV다. 집 안에서 U+인터넷 와이파이를 연결하면 장소에 구애받지 않고 TV와 동일하게 콘텐츠를 즐길 수 있다. 집 밖에서는 일반 태블릿 PC와 동일하게 사용도 가능하다.
이번 모델의 경우 2023년에 출시된 전작 대비 전체적인 성능이 개선됐다. 구체적으로 △IP68 등급의 방수 △20% 밝아진 화면 △블루라이트 차단 개선 △메모리 용량 2배 및 노이즈캔슬링 등 기능을 갖췄다.
U+tv 프리5 SE는 걱정없이 어린 자녀에게 태블릿 PC를 맡길 수 있도록 ‘키즈 전용 모드’를 갖췄다. 해당 모드를 설정하면 LG유플러스의 키즈 플랫폼 ‘아이들나라’만 이용 가능하기 때문에 유해한 콘텐츠로부터 자녀를 보호할 수 있다. 블루라이트를 차단하는 ‘시력보호모드’도 제공된다.
아울러 U+IPTV의 실시간 방송과 VOD 콘텐츠는 물론, 기존에 가입한 OTT까지 시청할 수 있기 때문에 가족 전 구성원이 다양한 형태로 U+tv 프리5 SE를 이용할 수 있다.
U+tv 프리5 SE는 1G 인터넷과 프리미엄 IPTV 요금제를 가입한 고객이라면 최저 월 7260원(60개월 할부 기준, VAT 포함)에 이용할 수 있다. 기기는 각 가정당 최대 2대까지 사용 가능하다.
