세종시가 2월부터 취약계층 아동의 건강한 성장과 발달을 위한 ‘2025년 드림스타트 사업’을 본격적으로 추진한다고 밝혔다.
이 사업은 저소득 가정의 12세 이하 아동이 행복한 사회구성원으로 성장할 수 있도록 다양한 맞춤형 서비스를 제공하는 프로그램이다.
드림스타트 사업은 2015년 처음 시작된 이후, 아동의 양육 환경과 발달 단계에 맞춰 전문가의 자문을 받고, 협의체를 운영하며 지역 자원과의 연계를 통해 사례관리를 진행해왔다.
올해에는 가정 내 안정적인 양육 분위기를 조성하기 위해 부모교육을 확대하고, ‘미혼모 자조모임’을 추가하여 총 4개 분야에서 22개의 맞춤형 서비스를 제공할 예정이다. 특히, 부모교육의 효과를 높이기 위해 소그룹 방식의 영유아 양육 코칭과 부모의 경제적 자립 교육을 새롭게 도입했다.
또한, 기존에 제공하던 생일상, 학습지, 언어 및 심리 치료, 검진비, 치료비, 예방접종비 지원과 계절별 행사 개최 등의 맞춤형 서비스도 지속적으로 이어질 예정이다.
현재 세종시의 드림스타트 사례관리 대상은 지난해 말 기준으로 163가구, 246명에 이르며, 아동통합사례관리사 1명이 약 60명의 아동을 관리하고 있다.
세종시는 이번 사업을 통해 아동들이 보다 건강하고 행복하게 성장할 수 있도록 최선을 다할 계획이다.
