논산시가 ‘2025년 농림축산식품부 신규사업’ 공모에서 3개 사업이 모두 선정되며 국비 582억 7천만 원을 확보하는 성과를 거뒀다.
이번에 선정된 사업은 ▲아호왕덕지구 배수개선사업 ▲원봉지구 배수개선사업 ▲봉동지구 배수개선사업으로, 논산 지역의 배수 시설을 대대적으로 개선하는 내용이 포함됐다.
아호왕덕지구에는 총 258억 원을 투입해 배수장 2개소 신설, 유수지 2개소 확장, 배수로 정비 0.1km 등이 추진된다. 원봉지구에는 배수장 1개소 신설, 배수로 10.1km 정비 등에 221억 원이 배정됐으며, 봉동지구에는 배수장 신설 및 유수지 확장, 배수로 2.6km 정비 등에 103억 7천만 원이 투입될 예정이다.

시 관계자는 “이번 사업이 추진되면 농가의 침수 피해가 크게 줄어들 것으로 기대된다”며 “앞으로도 적극적인 행정을 통해 농업인들의 불안을 해소하고, 안정적인 농업 기반을 마련하는 데 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
