당진시는 지난 4일 오후 당진시청에서 2025년 산불전문예방진화대와 산불감시기동대의 발대식을 열고, 산불 예방을 위한 안전교육을 실시했다고 밝혔다.
이날 행사에는 오성환 당진시장을 비롯해 산불전문예방진화대 39명과 산불감시원 30명이 참석했으며, 참석자들은 ‘산불 없는 당진’을 위한 결의문을 낭독하고 산불 예방에 대한 결의를 다졌다.
당진시는 2025년 봄철 산불조심기간(1월 24일~5월 15일)을 맞아 산불 방지에 총력을 기울이고 있다. 지난해에는 약 2억 1500만 원의 예산을 투입하여 산불 대응 장비인 에어텐트를 구입하고, 문화유산인 영탑사에 산불 소화 시설을 설치했다.
또한, 도비도항과 대난지도에 산불 무인 감시카메라를 새로 설치하여 산불 사각지대를 상시 모니터링하고 있다. 이와 함께, 매년 다양한 산불 예방 홍보물 게시 등을 통해 산불 예방 홍보 활동에도 힘을 쏟고 있다.
