이번 전시는 <감각의 경계에서>, <두꺼운 현재 > 작업 이후 세 번째 개인전으로 지난 2023년부터 현재까지 작업한 신작 흑백사진들이다.
문슬작가는 자신의 가족사에 얽힌 억압과 두려움에서 싹튼 "불안"이라는 감정을 응시하고 카메라로 자신만의 사진언어를 표현해 주목을 받고 있다.
작가는 자신의 사진에 대해 "인생길에서 겪었던 소란들의 응어리, 본성을 거슬리고 펼치지 못한 욕망과 유한한 존재에서 느끼는 불안의 감정을 솔직하게 대면한 작업이다"며 "나의 불안에 대한 제의이며 태어나지 않은 아이를 위한 기도"라고 말한다.
