브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 검찰이 항간에 떠돌던 김정숙 여사의 '인도 외유성 출장'과 '샤넬 재킷 착복 의혹' 등에 대해 수사한 결과, 무혐의로 결론내렸다.
7일 서울중앙지검 형사2부(부장검사 조아라)는 문재인 전 대통령의 부인 김정숙 여사에 대한 직권남용권리행사방해 등 고발 및 수사 의뢰 사건을 수사한 결과, 최종 불기소 처분을 내렸다고 밝혔다.
김 여사는 문재인 대통령 재임 시절 영부인 단독으로 인도에 외유성 출장을 다녀왔다는 의혹과 프랑스 국빈 방문 당시 착용한 샤넬 재킷을 개인이 소장했다는 의혹 등이 제기돼 직권남용, 특정범죄가중법위반(국고등손실) 혐의를 받았다.
외유성 출장 의혹은 김 여사가 우리 외교부의 셀프 초정으로 인도를 방문, 나랏돈 수억여원으로 들여 여행을 즐기다 왔다는 내용이다.
그러나 검찰이 수사한 결과, 타지마할 관람은 인도 측에서 먼저 제안했다. 인도는 대통령 혹은 최고위급 사절단의 참석을 지속적으로 요청해와 김정숙 여사를 단장으로 한 대표단이 인도를 방문했다는 것이다. 또한 당시 정부는 대표단이 사용할 예산에 대해 기재부 검토와 국무회의 의결, 대통령 재가 등 절차를 충분히 따랐으며 미리 정해진 일정에 따라 방문한 것이어서 외유성으로 보기 어렵다고 판단했다.

이어 샤넬재킷 미반환 의혹은 지난 2018년 김 여사가 프랑스에 국빈으로 방문했을 당시 착용한 샤넬의 한글 패턴 트위드 자켓을 개인 소장했다는 내용이다. 해당 재킷은 국립 한글박물관이 기증받아 인천국제공항에 공개했는데, 이 자켓이 김 여사가 착용한 것과 다르다는 의문이 제기되면서 김 여사가 청와대 특활비로 재킷을 구매해 소장했다는 의혹이 제기됐다.
그러나 검찰은 수사 결과, 재킷과 관련해 청와대 특수활동비 등의 예산을 사용한 정황이 확인되지 않았다고 전했다.
