브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 한동훈 국민의힘 전 대표가 집필한 책 '국민이 먼저입니다'가 19일부터 예약판매를 시작한 가운데 여러 서점에서 베스트셀러로 이름을 올렸다.
20일 기준, 교보문고 홈페이지에는 한 전 대표의 책이 베스트셀러 1위로 올라있다. 알라딘에서도 1위, 예스 24에선 2위를 기록하고 있다.
이날 교보문고 사이트에 올라온 책 소개 문구를 보면 "이 책에는 계엄의 바다를 건너 새로운 시대로 나아가는 한동훈의 국민을 위한 선택과 생각이 오롯이 담겼다"라고 썼다.
이 책은 '한동훈의 선택'과 '한동훈의 생각' 등 두 파트로 구성됐다.
한동훈의 선택에서는 비상계엄 반대, 계엄 해제 의결, 질서 있는 조기퇴진 시도, 대통령 탄핵소추안 통과, 당 대표 사퇴 등 14일에 걸친 이야기를 풀어냈다.
대담 형식으로 수록된 한동훈의 생각 파트에선 정치를 하는 이유, 공직자로서의 사명 등 그의 정치관과 철학을 다뤘다.
정치권에 따르면 한 전 대표는 오는 26일 책 출간과 함께 북콘서트 또는 강연 등 공개 행보를 재개하며 정치권에 복귀할 것이란 전망이 나온다.

다만 반대 여론도 상당하다. 한 전 대표가 복귀한다해도 당 내 거센 반발이 있을 것으로 예상된다.
권영세 비상대책위원장은 지난 17일 비상계엄 선포 당시 상황을 설명하면서 "한 전 대표가 (계엄 선포에 대해) 바로 '위헌이고 위법이다'라고 얘기한 것에 대해서는 조금 성급하지 않았나 생각한다"고 밝혔다.
