빙그레가 2월 21일 오전 11시부터 ‘빙그레 그란폰도’ 공식 홈페이지에서 대회 참가 접수를 시작했다. 이번 대회는 선착순으로 진행되며, 자전거에 관심 있는 성인 남녀 2000명을 모집한다.
‘빙그레 그란폰도’는 오는 4월 12일 충청남도 공주시 일대에서 개최되는 대규모 자전거 대회로, 약 125km의 그란폰도 코스와 91km의 메디오폰도 코스가 운영된다. 그란폰도는 이탈리아어로 ‘위대한 경주’를 의미하며, 비경쟁 방식의 장거리 자전거 대회를 지칭한다.
빙그레는 이번 대회를 단순한 자전거 대회가 아닌, 기부와 지역상생을 강조한 의미 있는 행사로 기획했다. 대회 참가비 전액은 참가자 각자의 이름으로 지역 내 의미 있는 활동에 기부되며, ‘퍼네이션(Fun + Donation)’ 활동의 일환으로 즐거움과 기부를 동시에 경험할 수 있다.
또한, 공주 지역 소상공인이 운영하는 푸드존을 구성해 참가자들에게 식사를 제공할 예정이다. 대회 참가자들에게는 다양한 빙그레 제품과 기념품이 제공되며, 행사 부스와 경품 추첨 등의 이벤트도 마련된다.
빙그레 김호연 회장은 백범 김구 선생에 대한 각별한 관심을 바탕으로 이번 대회를 기획했으며, 김구 선생의 은거지인 공주에서 자전거 대회를 개최하기로 결심했다. 김 회장은 최근 대한적십자사 고액기부자 모임인 ‘레드크로스 아너스클럽’에 가입하기도 했다.

Binggrae Opens Entries for ‘Binggrae Gran Fondo
’ Binggrae has started accepting entries for ‘Binggrae Gran Fondo’ on its official website on February 21 at 11 am. The
Binggrae Gran Fondo is a large-scale cycling event that will be held on April 12 in Gongju City, Chungcheongnam-do, with a 125-kilometer Gran Fondo course and a 91-kilometer Medio Fondo course. Granfondo means “great race” in Italian and refers to a non-competitive, long-distance bicycle race.
Binggrae designed the event to be more than just a bicycle race, but a meaningful event that emphasizes giving back and community. All participation fees will be donated to meaningful activities in the local community in the name of each participant, allowing participants to experience fun and donation at the same time as part of the ‘Fun + Donation’ activity.
In addition, a food zone run by local small businesses in Gongju will be organized to provide meals to participants. Participants will also receive a variety of Binggrae products and souvenirs, as well as event booths and prize draws.
Binggrae Chairman Kim Ho-yeon was inspired to organize the event out of a keen interest in Baekbum Kim Gu, and decided to hold the bike race in Gongju, Kim Gu's secret home. Kim was also recently inducted into the Red Cross Honor's Club, a group of the Korean Red Cross's most generous donors.
