청양군, 다목적육묘장 본격 가동…고품질 고추 육묘 공급 박차

충남 청양군이 지역 농업인의 안정적인 생산을 지원하기 위해 다목적육묘장을 본격 가동했다. 이를 통해 고품질의 고추 육묘를 안정적으로 공급하고, 농업인의 노동력 부담을 줄이는 데 집중할 방침이다.

올해 육묘장은 칼라탄, 칼라킹, 청양고추, 올복합, 왕조 등 5개 품종을 선정해 총 100만 본을 육묘할 계획이다. 이는 청양군 전체 고추 재배 면적의 약 5%에 해당하는 규모로, 지역 농가의 수요를 반영한 것이다.

지난 2월 3일부터 14일까지 파종 작업이 진행됐으며, 오는 2월 27일부터는 가식(이식) 작업이 시작된다. 이후에도 체계적인 생육 관리와 최적의 환경 조성을 통해 튼튼한 묘를 공급할 계획이다.
