브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 국민의힘이 더불어민주당의 '전 국민 25만 원 지급' 추진에 맞서 소상공인에게 공과금 100만 원 지원안을 들고 나왔다.
권영세 비상대책위원장은 지난 24일 서울 종로에 있는 봉제공장 업체에서 열린 '경제활력민생특위 영세사업장 방문 및 현장 간담회'에서 이같은 뜻을 밝혔다.
권 위원장은 "소상공인이 700만 명이 넘는 걸로 안다"면서 "1인당 100만 원 정도를 바우처 형식으로 지급해 전기, 가스, 수도 등 공과금 지원 방안을 정부 측과 협의하고 있다"고 말했다.
이어 "시설이 노후화돼 교체하면 장비 구입 비용 등을 지원하는 방안도 적극적으로 고려 중"이라며 "추경을 곧 편성해서 집행할 생각인데, 그 추경에 꼭 반영하도록 노력하고 있다"고 강조했다.
김상훈 정책위의장은 "우리가 정부 측에 소상공인 지원에 대해 여러 예산 편성을 요구 중"이라며 "매출이 1억 400만 원 이하인 소상공인들에게 전기, 가스, 수도 공과금을 포함해 보험금, 판촉비 등 1인당 100만 원씩 지원하는 게 맞지 않나 협의 중이다"라고 설명했다.
김 정책위의장은 보험금이나 판촉비까지 지원하는 방안에 대해 "에너지 요금에 100만 원이 다 안 차도 판촉비나 보험금이란 명목으로 100만 원을 채워서 다 지불하는 걸로 하는 게 좋겠다는 판단이 들었다"고 했다.
김 정책위의장은 아울러 민주당이 추진하는 '전 국민 25만 원 지원금'과의 차이점에 대해선 "전 국민에게 일괄적으로 얼마를 지원한다는 것은 아마 지금 정부의 재정 상황이라든가 이런 걸 고려했을 때 받아들이기가 조금 어려운 것 같다"고 말했다.

The People Power Party has come up with a proposal to support utility bills of 1 million won for small business owners in response to the Democratic Party of Korea's push for a "250,000 won payment to all citizens."
Emergency Response Committee Chairman Kwon Young-se announced this at the "Economic Vitality and Livelihood Special Committee Visit to Small Businesses and On-site Discussion" held at a sewing factory in Jongno, Seoul on the 24th.
Chairman Kwon said, "I understand that there are over 7 million small business owners," and "We are discussing with the government a plan to support utility bills such as electricity, gas, and water by providing about 1 million won per person in the form of a voucher."

Regarding the difference from the Democratic Party’s “250,000 won support for all citizens,” Kim said, “Considering the current government’s financial situation and other factors, it seems a bit difficult to accept providing a uniform amount to all citizens.”
