브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 농심은 지난 27일 한국양봉농협과 국내 양봉농가 활성화를 위한 지원금 전달식을 가졌다고 28일 밝혔다.
이번 전달식은 2022년 농심이 국립농업과학원, 한국양봉농협과 맺은 ‘함께하는 양봉’ 업무협약에 따른 것으로, 양봉농가의 안정적인 영농활동과 관련 산업 발전을 위해 농심이 3년째 진행하고 있는 사회공헌 사업이다.
이날 농심이 전달한 지원금은 스마트 양봉기자재 및 꿀벌 질병 진단키트 지원, 양봉 밀원수 식목, 청년 양봉농가 조기 정착을 위한 멘토링 활동에 활용된다.
특히, 농심은 올해 청년 양봉농가를 대상으로 국산 아카시아꿀을 사용하는 스낵 ‘꿀꽈배기’ 생산현장 견학 프로그램을 진행해 양봉산업 전반에 대한 이해도를 높일 계획이다.
농심 관계자는 “기후변화로 꿀벌 개체수가 감소하며 양봉농가가 많은 어려움을 겪고 있다”며 “농가 생산성 향상과 양봉산업 발전에 기여할 수 있도록 내실 있는 지원을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 농심은 한국양봉농협에서 구매한 아카시아꿀을 ‘꿀꽈배기’ 생산에 사용하고 있다. 꿀꽈배기 한 봉지(90g)에는 아카시아꿀이 약 3g 들어간다. 농심은 매년 약 160톤가량의 꿀을 구매해 꿀꽈배기 생산에 활용하며 양봉농가에 실질적 도움이 되도록 노력하고 있다.
