[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시 홍태용 시장이 서울대학교 호암교수회관에서 열린 한국도시설계학회 창립 25주년 기념 세미나(도시설계의 과거, 현재 그리고 미래)에서 ‘우수지자체 CEO상’을 수상했다고 12일 밝혔다.

한국도시설계학회는 회원 7,000명인 도시계획·설계 분야 국내 최대 학회로서 김해시는 지난 2022년 한국도시설계학회와 MOU 체결 후 다양한 세미나, 포럼 개최, 공동연구 수행 등 협업 관계를 지속적으로 이어가고 있다.

우수지자체 CEO상은 한국도시설계학회에서 도시 혁신성, 도시정책 일관성, 지자체 CEO 전문성, 도시정책 성과를 평가해 가장 활발한 활동을 펼친 기관장에게 수여하는 상으로 김해시장과 고양시장, 수원시장이 수상했다.

김해시는 작년 동아시아 문화도시 국제 행사를 비롯해 전국(장애인)체전, 김해 방문의 해 등 국내외 대규모 행사를 성공적으로 유치해 추진했다. 이와 함께 지역전략사업 추진, 도시재생사업 등에서 높은 평가를 받았다.
