이대영 공공보건의료본부장은 "'공공보건의료에 관한 법률'이 정하고 있는 공공보건의료사업을 더욱 효과적으로 추진하기 위해 2024년부터 공공의료본부를 설치해 운영하고 있다"며 "지역사회 안전망 구축 및 보건의료서비스 향상을 위해 선제적 대응과 지역 완결적 필수의료 협력체계 구축에 앞장서고 있다"고 밝혔다.
이어 "각 수행 부서의 노력으로 예수병원이 다양한 공공보건의료사업을 추진하고 있는 가운데 공공보건의료사업은 국가사업으로 점차 확대될 것으로 전망되는 만큼, 병원 구성원들과 앞으로도 협력체계 구축 활성화 등 여러 기관들과 협력해 지속적인 사회공헌 활동을 펼쳐나갈 계획"이라고 덧붙였다.
