최상목 대통령 권한대행 경제부총리 겸 기획재정부 장관이 17일 미국 정부의 한국에 대한 민감·기타 지정국가 목록(SCL) 포함 조치 관련해 "관계 기관들은 미 측에 적극 설명해 한·미 간 과학기술·에너지 협력에 부정적 영향이 미치지 않도록 하라"고 주문했다.
최 권한대행은 이날 오전 서울 종로구 정부서울청사에서 열린 대외경제현안간담회에서 "안덕근 산업통상자원부 장관은 금주 중 미 에너지부 장관을 만나 적극 협의하라"며 이같이 말했다.
그러면서 "다양한 채널을 통해 미 측 동향을 파악하고 우리 노력을 적극 설명하라'며 "상호관세 대상 유력 업종 등에 대한 대응 방안 마련을 위해 관계 부처가 함께 노력해달라"고 주문했다.
참석자들은 한·미 통상 당국 수장 면담 결과·미 무역대표부(USTR) 불공정무역 관행 의견 수렴 현황 등을 논의 후 향후 대응 논리·계획을 점검했다.
