금산군, 인삼·약초 신제품 개발 지원 확대

충남 금산군이 지역 특산물인 인삼과 약초를 활용한 신제품 개발을 적극 지원하며 산업 활성화에 나선다. 이번 사업은 (재)금산인삼약초산업진흥원이 주관하며, 제품 개발과 디자인 개선, 패키지 업그레이드 등 다양한 부문에서 기업을 지원할 계획이다.

군은 올해 총 10개 업체를 선정해 업체당 최대 3천만 원을 지원할 예정이며, 특히 기술력은 있으나 경영난을 겪고 있는 중소기업이나 기존 지원을 받지 못한 업체에 우선 혜택을 제공한다. 또한, 필요에 따라 지원금 증액과 자부담 비율 차등 적용 등을 통해 지원 규모를 확대할 방침이다.

금산군은 지난 2023년부터 이 사업을 통해 총 29개의 신제품을 개발했으며, 해당 제품들은 국내외 전시회에서 좋은 반응을 얻고 수출로도 이어지고 있다.

올해도 금산세계인삼축제와 연계한 국제인삼교역전에서 신제품을 선보이며 공공기관 및 관련 기관과의 협업을 통한 홍보에도 주력할 계획이다.

사업 참여를 희망하는 기업은 오는 3월 18일부터 4월 1일까지 금산인삼약초산업진흥원을 직접 방문해 신청하면 된다.

박범인 금산군수는 “이번 지원 사업을 통해 지역 내 기업들이 더욱 경쟁력을 갖추고 새로운 시장을 개척할 수 있도록 돕겠다”며 “앞으로도 지역 경제 활성화를 위한 다양한 지원책을 마련해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
