충남 서산시는 ‘청년이 꿈꾸는 행복도시’를 목표로 청년의 활동과 자립을 지원하기 위한 다양한 시책을 추진한다.
올해 223억 원을 투입하여 12개 부서를 통해 청년정책 4개 분야와 35개 사업을 진행한다고 밝혔다.
먼저, 청년정책의 기반구축과 참여기회 증대를 위해 청년정책네트워크와 서산청년마당 등 5개 사업이 시행된다.
청년정책네트워크는 대학생, 직장인, 창업인 등 40명으로 구성되어 정책 제안 및 회의에 참여하고, 서산청년마당은 청년들이 다양한 활동을 펼칠 수 있는 공간으로, 생활공구 대여사업도 계획하고 있다.
일자리 창출 및 역량 강화 분야에서는 청년도전 지원사업, 청년성장 프로젝트 등 9개 사업이 진행된다.
특히, 청년도전 지원사업은 구직단념청년과 자립준비청년을 위해 맞춤형 프로그램을 제공하며, 참여자에게는 수당과 인센티브가 주어진다.
청년성장 프로젝트는 미취업 청년들에게 지역 일자리 상황과 정주 여건에 맞는 프로그램을 소개한다.
생활 기반 및 환경 조성 분야에서는 대학생, 군인, 신혼부부 등 다양한 청년층을 지원하기 위한 15개 사업이 추진된다.
주요 사업으로는 전입 대학생 생활안정 지원, 청년 월세 한시 특별지원, 출산지원금 등이 포함된다.
또한, 여가 및 문화 활동 지원 분야에서는 청년 성장다락방과 청년문화센터 건립 등 6개 사업이 진행된다.
