[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 보다 쾌적한 스포츠 환경을 제공하기 위해 생활체육시설을 대대적으로 정비한다고 18일 밝혔다.
시는 2025년 문화체육관광부 주관 공모사업 선정으로 확보한 국민체육기금 5억6,000만 원을 포함한 총 41억여 원을 투입해 스포츠센터, 체육공원 9곳의 시설물 개보수를 추진한다.
스포츠센터는 3개소에 7억4,000만원을 투입해 해동이스포츠센터 수영장 타일 교체 및 수질 개선을 위한 여과기 교체, 동부스포츠센터 온수조절장치 교체, 장유스포츠센터 엘리베이터 교체 등을 진행한다.
체육공원 정비는 4개소 16억3,000만원 규모로 임호체육공원과 장유체육공원 인조잔디 교체, 대동생태체육공원 축구장 천연잔디 설치, 화포천체육공원 이동식 화장실 설치 등을 한다.
이와 함께 17억원을 들여 진영공설운동장 조명 및 방송설비 교체, 김해실내체육관 냉난방 설비 교체 및 지하주차장 바닥 도색을 한다.
시는 이번 정비로 생활체육 활성화와 지역경제에 긍정적인 영향을 기대하고 있다. 또 각종 체육대회와 소년체전 사전경기 유치로 스포츠 분야 경쟁력을 강화한다.
장판규 교육체육국장은 “지난해 전국체전 성공 개최에 이어 올해 5월에는 전국소년체육대회와 장애학생체육대회가 열리는 만큼 시민 여러분의 많은 관심과 성원을 부탁드린다”며 “영유아부터 노년층까지 모두가 즐길 수 있도록 정비하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 이번 정비 공사로 해동이스포츠센터는 4월 1일부터 임시 휴관하며 자세한 사항은 해당 스포츠센터로 문의하면 된다.
