대한민국 미래성장 동력인 새만금이 동북아를 넘어 세계에서 주목받는 국제도시로 거듭날 수 있는 방안과 대안 제시를 위한 대토론회가 18일 전주 그랜드힐스턴홀텔 그레이스홀에서 개최됐다.
(사)새만금사업범도민지원위원회가 주최한 이번 토론회는 '새만금 백년대계, 한국을 넘어 세계를 리드하다'를 주제로 전북자치도 김종훈 경제부지사ㆍ김경안 새만금개발청장ㆍ나경균 새만금개발공사 사장을 비롯해 분야별 전문가와 각 기관 관계자 등 100여 명이 참석한 가운데 다양한 방안이 제시됐다.
특히 ▲ 새만금 특별지방자치단체 설립 ▲ 새만금 물산업 클러스터 조성 방안 ▲ 해양문화 및 생태환경에 기반한 새만금 관광정책 방향 등이 심도 있게 다뤄졌다.
