울진군, 보행취약 지역에 가로등 122등 대규모 설치

이번 사업은 군비 2억 5천만원을 투입하여 10개 읍면에 122등의 가로등을 설치하는 사업이다. 2025년 1월과 2월 동안 총 193개소가 신청했으며, 설치 기준에 따른 우선순위를 고려해 122개소가 선정됐다.

가로등과 보안등의 차이점과 설치 기준을 살펴보면, 가로등은 2차선 이상의 도로변에 설치하는 조명시설로, 30~50m 간격으로 설치된다. 반면, 보안등은 주택가 골목길 등에 방범과 야간 통행 편의를 위해 설치하는 조명시설로, 100m 이상의 간격을 두고 설치된다.

손병복 울진군수는 “야간조명 소외 지역 및 우범지대 사고 예방과 군민들의 안전하고 쾌적한 야간 보행 환경을 위해 앞으로도 가로등(보안등) 설치를 확대 보급하겠다”고 말했다.
