브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 더불어민주당 등 야 5당은 21일 최상목 대통령 권한대행 부총리 겸 기획재정부 장관에 대한 탄핵소추안을 발의하기로 의견을 모았다.
이날 민주당에 따르면 조국혁신당, 진보당, 기본소득당, 사회민주당 등 야 5당은 이날 오후 2시 국회 본청 의안과에 최상목 권한대행에 대한 탄핵소추안을 제출했다.
탄핵소추안은 국회 재적 의원 1/3 이상이 찬성해야 발의되며 의결을 위해선 본회의에서 국회재적 의원 과반수 찬성이 필요하다.
만약 본회의에서 가결된다면 최상목 권한대행의 직무는 즉시 정지된다.
민주당은 앞서 최 대행이 헌재가 판결로 확정한 마은혁 헌법재판관 후보자를 임명하지 않고 있는 것은 위헌이자 위법 행위라고 주장해왔다.
박찬대 원내대표도 전날 우원식 국회의장을 면담한 직후 "최상목 대행과 관련해서 헌법 위배 사항을 더 이상 묵과하지 않고 탄핵 절차를 개시할 것으로 결정했다"며 "구체적인 절차, 시기에 대해서는 좀 더 협의를 해나가기로 했다"고 말한 바 있다.
