한덕수 대통령 권한대행 국무총리가 24일 국무위원들을 소집해 "민생과 직결된 주요 현안을 속도감 있게 진척시키는 게 내각 사명"이라고 강조했다.
한 권한대행은 헌법재판소 탄핵심판 기각 결정으로 직무에 복귀한 후 이날 낮 12시께 서울 종로구 정부서울청사에서 가진 국무위원 오찬간담회에서 "정부가 아무리 어려운 여건에 놓여 있다 해도 대한민국이 처한 대내외적 위기를 생각하면 국무위원들이 매 순간 심기일전하는 수밖에 없다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
그러면서 "외교·안보·경제·통상·치안·행정 등 국정 모든 분야가 원활하게 작동하느냐 여부가 국무위원과 전국 공직자들에게 달려 있다"며 "국민을 좀 더 편안하고 또 국정이 좀 더 안정되도록 하는 데 이제까지 해주셨던 그 일을 계속해가면서 서로 힘을 보태 앞으로 향해 나아가도록 했음 좋겠다"고 당부했다.
