전국 17개 시도교육청이 한자리에 모여 교육 현안을 논의하는 제101회 전국시도교육감협의회 총회가 3월 27일 충청남도 보령에서 열린다.
이번 총회는 충청남도교육청이 주관하고 전국시도교육감협의회가 주최하는 행사로, 각 시도 교육감들이 참석해 교육 정책과 현안을 논의할 예정이다.
이날 회의에는 김태흠 충청남도지사와 홍성현 충청남도의회 의장이 참석해 축사를 전하며, 주요 안건으로 ,직업계고 외국인 유학생 취업비자 발급 건의 ,교육용 전기요금 단가 인하 요구 ,학원의 설립·운영 및 과외교습 관련 법 개정 건의 ,지방교육행정기관의 조직 및 정원 기준 개정 건의 ,지역교권보호위원회 공동 심의 관련 교원지위법 개정 제안 ,2024회계연도 전국시도교육감협의회 세입·세출 결산안 등이 논의될 예정이다.
김지철 충청남도교육감은 "급변하는 교육 환경 속에서 시도 교육청 간 협력과 소통이 더욱 중요하다"며 "이번 총회를 통해 교육 현장의 다양한 의견을 공유하고 실효성 있는 정책을 마련하는 계기가 되길 바란다"고 밝혔다.
한편, 전국시도교육감협의회는 시도교육청 간 협력 강화를 통해 교육 발전을 모색하고 있으며, 교육부 및 중앙부처와의 협력을 통해 지방교육자치의 내실을 다져나갈 계획이다.
