[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 27일 거창청년사이에서 청년네트워크 활동가 등 30여명이 참여한 가운데 ‘제5기 청년네트워크 위촉식’을 개최했다.

청년네트워크는 관내 19세 이상 45세 이하 청년들이 주축이 되어 청년이 살기 좋은 거창을 만들기 위한 다양한 정책을 함께 고민하고 만들어 가는 목적으로 구성, 운영되고 있다.

제5기 청년네트워크는 공개모집과 활동가 추천을 통해 최종 29명으로 구성됐으며 대학생, 직장인, 자영업자, 농업인 등 다양한 분야에서 활동하는 청년들이 청년을 대표해 청년정책 제안, 청년 문제 개선 방안 모색, 청년 역량 강화 등의 다양한 활동을 추진할 계획이다.

이날 위촉장 수여식과 함께 청년들이 자신의 포부를 밝히는 등 구인모 군수와 자유롭게 토론하는 시간을 가졌으며, 이어 ‘청년이 국본이다’라는 주제로 이종학 원앤온리에듀 대표의 역량 강화 교육이 진행됐다.

구인모 군수는 “거창군이 대한민국 최초 청년친화도시로 지정될 수 있었던 것은 2021년부터 참여한 164명의 청년네트워크와 군민들의 관심과 참여 덕분”이라며 “앞으로도 청년이 행복한 거창, 청년이 있어 행복한 거창을 위해 청년이 맘껏 꿈을 키우고 지역에서 살아갈 수 있도록 지원을 이어 나가겠다”고 말했다.

제5기 청년네트워크는 앞으로 1년간 교육, 선진지 견학, 정책 제안 등을 통해 청년친화도시 사업 추진과 거창군의 청년정책 전반에 대한 중추적인 역할을 수행해 나갈 것으로 기대된다.
