경찰이 국민의힘 A 전 의원의 비서 성폭력 의혹과 관련, 피해자를 불러 추가 조사했다.
서울경찰청 여성안전과는 30일 A 전 의원을 성폭행 혐의로 고소한 당시 비서 A씨를 불러 관련 증거 등에 관해 추가 조사를 벌였다고 밝혔다.
경찰은 A씨가 2022년 성폭행 피해 정황 등을 적어둔 글을 확보한 것으로 알려졌다. 이 글에는 A씨가 피해를 당한 뒤 성폭력 상담기관 등을 찾은 내용과 A 전 의원이 사건을 무마하기 위해 돈 봉투를 건넸다는 내용 등이 포함된 것으로 알려졌다.
A씨는 또한 사건 당시 A 전 의원이 보냈다는 문자메시지 내용도 경찰에 제출한 것으로 전해졌다.
A씨는 지난 2015년 11월 17일 서울 강남구 한 호텔에서 당시 부산 모 대학 부총장이던 A 전 의원에게 성폭행을 당했다며 준강간치상 혐의로 고소했다.
A 전 의원은 지난 28일 피의자 신분으로 서울경찰청에 출석해 조사를 받았으나 혐의를 전면 부인한 것으로 전해졌다.
A 전 의원은 지난 5일에는 혐의를 완강히 부인하면서 탈당 의사도 밝힌 바 있다.
