충남 서산시가 31일 수석지구 도시개발사업의 실시계획인가를 충청남도로부터 획득했다고 밝혔다.
이 사업은 2016년부터 추진된 주요 프로젝트로, 2023년 12월 개발계획이 수립되었다.
수석지구 도시개발사업은 총면적 48만 6천470㎡에 1천340억 원을 투입하여 도로, 주거, 상업 시설 등을 조성하는 사업으로, 이를 통해 관내 중심 생활권과 내포신도시를 연결할 예정이다.
계획에 따르면 주거용지는 19만 3천264㎡, 상업용지는 6천919㎡, 도시기반시설용지는 28만 6천287㎡로 구성된다.
이 사업의 계획인구는 4천433명이며, 주택 1천973세대와 공공임대주택 545세대가 포함된다. 특히, 시내 버스터미널은 동부전통시장 일원에, 시외·고속버스 터미널은 수석지구에 이원화할 방침이다.
시는 이번 실시계획인가로 사업 추진에 탄력을 받을 것으로 기대하며, 2028년 부지 조성을 완료할 목표로 올해 11월 착공할 예정이다.
