[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시의 대표적인 벚꽃 명소로 손꼽히고 있는 '율하천 벚꽃길'이 상춘객들의 입소문을 타면서 해를 거듭하면서 인기를 끌고 있다.
지난 2019년부터 진행되어 온 율하벚꽃축제는 올해 산불 희생자들에 대한 애도의 뜻으로 차분함 속에서 치렀다.
지난 주말 장유3동 율하천 만남교 일원에서 개막식과 축하공연, 벚꽃노래자랑, 디제잉 파티 등의 행사는 전면 취소했다.
그러나 벚꽃축제를 기대하고 있던 시민들을 위해 플리마켓, 체험·홍보부스, 어린이 사생대회, 지역농산물 판매 등은 정상적으로 진행됐다.
아이들과 함께 행사에 참여한 한 시민은 “가족들과 함께 벚꽃 나들이를 하게 되어 무척 기쁘다. 그러나 무서운 화마를 겪은 분들을 생각하면 차분하게 행사를 진행하는게 옳다는 생각이 든다”며 애도의 마음을 전하기도 했다.
축제장을 찾은 방문객들은 율하천 벚꽃길을 걸으며 봄날의 싱그러움을 만끽하고 카페거리의 테라스에서 커피 한 잔으로 여유로운 휴식을 갖는 편안한 모습들이었다.
축제장 곳곳에 자리 잡고 앉아 벚꽃 그리기에 열중하는 어린이들과 인생 사진을 기대하며 벚꽃 아래 삼삼오오 모여 한복체험을 즐기는 청소년들의 웃음은 축제에 활기를 주어 축제장의 또 다른 볼거리가 되기도 했다.
행사를 주관한 장유3동 주민자치회(회장 김용계)와 율하발전협의회는 방문객들의 체험 참가비와 플리마켓 운영, 지역 농산물 판매 수익금 일부를 산불 피해 지역과 주민들을 위해 기부하기로 했다.
하증식 장유3동장은 ”산불 피해 주민들의 아픔을 함께 나누고 더불어 어려운 시기를 보내고 있는 지역민들도 위로하고자 축소 개최하게 되었다”며 “행사에 협조해 주신 주민자치회, 율하발전협의회, 자생단체의 노고에 감사드리며 무엇보다 율하벚꽃축제에 방문해 주신 많은 시민에게 위로의 시간이 되었기를 바란다“고 전했다.
