브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 넥슨은 최근 영남권 일대에 발생한 대형 산불 피해 복구를 위해 총 5억 원의 성금을 지원한다고 31일 밝혔다.
이번 기부에 참여한 넥슨 내 법인은 넥슨코리아, 네오플, 넥슨게임즈 등이다. 구호 성금은 넥슨재단을 통해 희망브리지 전국재해구호협회(회장 송필호)에 전달되며, 산불 피해 지역의 복구와 이재민 긴급 지원 등을 위해 사용될 예정이다.
넥슨 관계자는 “예기치 못한 재난 속에서도 헌신적으로 대응해 주신 소방관 여러분께 깊이 감사드린다”며 “산불로 피해를 입은 지역 주민들이 하루빨리 일상을 회복하고 안정을 되찾는 데 작은 보탬이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
한편, 넥슨은 2023년 강릉 산불 발생 당시에도 피해 복구와 지역 주민 지원을 위해 희망브리지 전국재해구호협회에 1억 원의 성금을 기탁한 바 있다.
