이번 금고 지정은 일반경쟁 방식으로 진행될 예정이었으나, NH농협은행이 단독으로 참여하면서 수의 방식으로 결정되었다. 

금고지정심의위원회는 지난 26일 금융기관의 신용도, 재무건전성, 금리, 서비스 수준, 지역사회 기여도 등을 종합적으로 평가한 결과, NH농협은행을 최종 선정했다.

NH농협은행은 향후 4년간 경상남도교육청의 교육비특별회계 예산과 기금 등 재정 운영 전반을 담당하며, e-교육금고시스템을 통해 각급 학교와 교육기관에 금융 서비스를 제공할 계획이다.
