이번 축제는 최근 발생한 대규모 산불 피해에 대한 애도를 표하고, 조속한 피해 복구를 위한 동참의 뜻을 담아 일부 행사를 조정하여 진행된다.
축제의 분위기는 차분하게 맞춰지며, 일부 거리예술 공연 및 음악 공연 등은 취소될 예정이다. 대신, 따뜻한 봄날씨 속에서 경주의 벚꽃을 만끽할 수 있도록 축제를 재구성했다고 밝혔다.
