브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 국민의힘은 3일 더불어민주당을 향해 "경제통상 전쟁 대응보다 마은혁 헌법재판관 후보 임명 압박이 더 중요한가"라고 쏘아붙였다.
권동욱 국민의힘 대변인은 이날 논평을 통해 “민주당이 한덕수 권한대행과 최상목 경제부총리의 국회 본회의 긴급현안질문 불참을 두고 ‘국민 무시’라며 강하게 비판하고 나섰다”며 “그러나 이는 경제통상 위기보다 마은혁 후보 임명 압박을 우선시하는 민주당의 본심을 드러낸 것”이라고 지적했다.
권 대변인은 “모두가 알다시피, 미국이 오늘 한국산 제품에 25%의 상호관세 부과를 발표했다”며 “우리나라는 이제 본격적인 글로벌 관세전쟁에 직면했고, 부과된 25% 관세율은 일본과 EU보다도 높은 수준”이라고 설명했다.

권 대변인은 “며칠 전에도 민주당은 이재명 대표가 한 권한대행에게 긴급회동을 제안했지만 답이 없었다며 비판했지만, 그 의도가 마 후보 임명 압박이라는 것은 삼척동자도 알 일”이라며 “마 후보 임명을 위해 민주당이 벌여온 일들을 보면 탄핵 추진, 기각되면 다시 탄핵, 임명 촉구 결의안 추진까지 끝이 없다”고 했다.
그는 “정부는 지금 경제통상 전쟁을 치르고 있다”며 “그런데도 민주당은 이를 지휘하는 정부 각료를 힐난하고 국정 운영을 방해하고 있다. 이는 국난 극복을 저해하는 행위”라고 꼬집었다.
