지난 2024년 12.3 윤석열 대통령의 비상계엄 선언 이후 촉발됐던, 대통령 탄핵정국이 막을 내렸다.
헌법재판소(소장 권한대행=문형배)는 4월4일 오전 “윤석열 대통령 탄핵의 인용“을 판결, 윤석열 대통령의 퇴출(退出)을 결정했다. 만장일치이다. 이 판결로 인해 조기(早期) 대통령 선거가 불가피 해졌다. 이는, 역사적인 판결이다.

헌법재판소의 이 판결 이후, 한국 사회는 헌법재판소의 판결을 수용, 사회를 안정(安定)시키는 수순(手順)이 기다리게 됐다. 헌법재판소의 판결을 승복하지 않으면, 폭력사태 등의 악순환이 대기되어 있는 셈이다. 문제는 깨끗한 승복(承服)을 통한 사회 안정(安定)이다.

이재명 더불어민주당 대표는 헌법재판소의 판결에 대해 “민주 공화국의 헌법 질서 따른 결정을 승복하지 않으면 어떻게 할 것인가”라며, 승복해야 한다는 입장을 밝혔다. 권성동 국민의힘 원내대표는 “국민의힘은 헌재의 판결에 승복할 것”이라고 말했다. 전병헌 새미래민주당 대표는 “윤석열이든, 이재명이든 헌법재판소의 결정을 거부하는 것은 반(反) 헌법적이며, 그 자체로 내란 선동과 다를 바 없습니다. 헌법재판소 결정은 모두에게 최종적이어야 하며, 승복은 민주주의의 기본 원칙”이라고, 피력했다.
