[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군 직영 골프장인 거창CC는 골프 꿈나무 육성 프로그램에 참여하고 있는 김윤(아림초 4) 학생이 경기도 안성시 골프클럽Q에서 열린 ‘2025 목정미래재단배 전국주니어골프대회’에서 준우승을 차지하는 쾌거를 거두었다.
3년 전부터 아버지와 형의 영향을 받아 골프를 시작한 김윤 학생은 높은 학년 선수 못지않은 강한 드라이버 비거리와 감정 기복 없는 공격적인 플레이를 펼치는 것이 강점으로 거창CC에서 골프선수로서의 꿈을 키워가고 있다.
특히 거창CC가 운영하는 골프 꿈나무 육성(엘리트) 프로그램에 본격적으로 참여한 이후 실력 향상을 보이며 두각을 나타내고 있으며, 매일 거창CC와 연습장을 오가며 실력을 쌓아가고 있다.
김윤 학생은 “한국프로골프(KPGA)를 거쳐 미국프로골프(PGA)투어에서 뛰는 것이 꿈”이라며 당찬 포부를 밝혔다.
김윤 학생의 아버지는 “거창CC의 지원 덕분에 아들이 성장할 수 있었다”라며 “앞으로도 투어 선수로 활약하며 거창CC에 보답할 기회가 생겼으면 좋겠다”라고 감사의 마음을 전했다.
한편, 거창CC는 골프 꿈나무 육성 프로그램을 통해 거창군에 거주하는 초·중·고등학교 재학생을 대상으로 총 48명을 선발해 방과 후 골프 꿈나무 엘리트, 체험학습을 운영하며 재능 있는 선수를 발굴하고 생활체육 저변확대에 힘쓰고 있다.
