충남 부여군이 추진 중인 ‘부여 세계유산탐방거점센터 건립사업’이 행정안전부의 지방재정 중앙투자심사를 최종 통과하며 본격적인 추진 단계에 들어섰다.
8일 부여군에 따르면, 지난해 7월 중앙투자심사에서 재검토 결정을 받은 이후 사업계획을 보완해 이번에 최종 승인을 받았다. 이로써 건립을 위한 사전 행정 절차가 모두 완료되면서 사업이 본궤도에 오르게 됐다.
이 사업은 백제문화의 정수가 담긴 세계유산과 고도(古都)의 핵심 유적들을 체계적으로 소개하고, 교육과 체험이 가능한 공간을 마련하기 위해 기획됐다. 탐방거점센터는 부여읍 구아리 '관북리유적' 인근에 조성되며, 총 249억 원의 예산이 투입된다.
센터는 지상 1층 규모로 연면적 2,053㎡의 한식 목조건물로 설계되며, 문화유산 경관과 조화를 이루도록 세심히 배치된다. 주요 공간은 ▲세계유산 관련 정보를 제공하는 ‘정보전시동’, ▲체험 프로그램과 교육이 진행되는 ‘교육체험동’, ▲방문객의 편의를 위한 ‘휴식편의동’으로 구성될 예정이다.
