전성규 시인은 여원사(김재원 발행인)에서 발행했던 '월간 직장인' 편집장이었다. 4월18일은 고 전성규 시인의 35주기(1990년 작고).
전성규 시인이 작고하기 직전, '월간 직장인'은 필자(문일석)가 썼던 김형욱(전 중앙정보부장) 사망 추적기(追跡記)를 별책 부록으로 제작-발행해주었다. 당시만 해도, 국가의 최고 정보기관인 중앙정보부를 파헤친다는 것은? 월간지 편집장에게는 큰 부담이었을 것이다. 그래도 과감하게 별책 부록(담당자 심원섭 부장급 기자)을 만들어 시판했었다.
그래서, 전성규 편집장-시인님을 잊지 못한다.
그런데 이 분의 친 동생인 전향규 시인(전 서울신문 기자)과 상호 기자로서 친분이 있어, 가끔씩 만나곤 했다. 필자의 고향은 전라도인데, 전향규 시인(경상도 출신)은 전남 보성에 한옥을 마련, 문화 공간(주월재)으로 활용해오고 있다. 영호남이 한 세상임을 몸으로 실천해오고 있다.
전성규 시인이시여, 저 세상에서도 좋은 시 창작-읊으면서 지내소서.
전성규 시인님의 친 동생인 전향규 시인에게 부탁, 전성규 시인의 시(詩) 2편을 건네받아, 소개한다. 아래는 전성규 시인의 시이다.
*<시-1>시가 있는 풍경, 수인선(水仁線) 협궤열차

완벽한 아름다움은 작은 것에만 있지 않다.
아름다울 수 있는 사물은 언제나 우리로부터 한 발짝 떨어져 존재한다.
햇살 하나 떨어져 바다 위에 뒹구는 모습도
선어의 비늘을 적시는 파도 한 자락도 우리에게 다가오지 않으면 아름다울 수 없는 것, 때때로 길고 긴 방랑에서 돌아와 몸 풀고 누우면 아득한 노래로 살아 오르는 유년의 고향에 마냥 몸 젖게 마련. 몸 젖을 수 있다면 하릴없이 헤매이지 않아도 자신의 길을 갈 수 있다.
너무 작아서 앙징스러운 협궤열차처럼 덜커덩거리며 우적거리며 바다로 갈 수 있다. 넉넉한 햇살 한 자락 움켜잡고 견딜 수 있다.
바다가 보이는 언덕에는 언제나 해당화 피어있고 물결처럼 흔들리는 꽃들의 속살이 훤히 드러나 보인다.
슬프도록 아름다운 해당화여, 붉은빛 사루어 저 작은 철길 단단히 묶어두고
우리가 소금밭에서 상한 몸 마구 짓이길 때
낮은 기적소리 한 번으로 다시 바다는 일어서지 않을까냐
해당화 피어나는 바다가 보이는 언덕
언제나 절로 가득 물안개 깔려 있어 환상의 바다를 가듯 협궤열차가 간다. 바다 없는 수원에서 바다 있는 송도로
일상의 틀에서 벗어난 환한 얼굴이며 노동에 찌든 얼굴들을 마주하며 그 좁은 길 시속 50km로 달려간다.
바다는 바로 옆에 붙어 있고
차창을 스치는 바람은 항상 갯내음 소금 냄새 가득 싣고 헤매이지만
그립고 아쉬운 만남도 속절없이 스러지는 어천역, 소래역, 우리들 단단한 고향역을 떠나며
기관사 생활 30여 년 당신의 마음은 해당화 빛깔보다 붉다

*전성규 시인의 약보
1955년 경상북도 영일만 구룡포에서 출생했다. 월간 여성지 '주부생활' '여성자신' 기자, 시사월간지 '엔터프라이즈' 편집장, 여원사 월간 '직장인' 편집장을 역임했다. 백이운 김택근 우영창 등과 시동인 활동을했다. 1990년 4월18일 별세, 하늘의 별이 됐다. 이듬해 문우 장석주 시인의 출판사 '청하'에서 유고시집 '멈춤, 혹은 일어섬의 변주'를 펴냈다.

Just before poet Jeon Seong-gyu passed away, 'Monthly Office Worker' produced and published a separate appendix of the writer's (Moon Il-seok) account of the death of Kim Hyung-wook (former director of the Central Intelligence Agency). Perfect beauty is not found only in small things.

*Poet Jeon Seong-gyu's Brief History
Born in 1955 in Guryongpo, Yeongil Bay, Gyeongsangbuk-do. He served as a reporter for the monthly women's magazines 'Housewife's Life' and 'Women's Self', editor-in-chief of the current affairs monthly magazine 'Enterprise', and editor-in-chief of the monthly magazine 'Office Worker' of Yeowonsa. He worked as a sibling with Baek I-woon, Kim Taek-geun, Woo Yeong-chang, etc. He passed away on April 18, 1990, becoming a star in the sky. The following year, the poet Moon Woo Jang Seok-ju's publishing company 'Cheongha' published a posthumous collection of poems, 'Stopping, or Variations of Standing Up'.
