[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 ‘2025 가야문화축제’ 기간 동안 방문객들에게 특별한 볼거리를 제공하고자 ‘세계유산 김해 대성동고분군’의 발굴 현장을 공개한다고 9일 밝혔다.
현장 공개는 11~13일 사흘간이며 11일은 오전 11시 전문가 자문위원회와 함께 현장 공개를 한다.
12, 13일은 오전, 오후 각 1시간씩 현장 접수를 받아 진행하며 안전을 고려해 현장 안내는 회당 최대 20명씩 각 20분간 제한적으로 운영한다.
또 발굴 현장 주변 안내 펜스에 대성동고분군 지난 10년의 발굴 성과를 전시해 방문객들이 대성동고분군의 역사적 가치와 발굴 성과를 체험할 수 있도록 한다.
대성동고분군은 지난해 9월 기록적인 폭우로 인해 사면 일부가 붕괴되는 피해를 입었으며 시는 고분군의 보존과 안전 확보를 위해 국가유산청에서 전액 국비를 지원받아 유물 수습과 정비사업을 추진 중이다.
유물수습조사는 현재 가야역사문화연구원에서 하고 있다. 붕괴된 사면의 토층 조사를 통해 붕괴 원인을 규명하고 하부에 잔존할 가능성이 있는 유물의 수습과 유구의 분포 현황을 파악 중이다.
김해시는 유물수습조사가 완료되면 조사 결과를 바탕으로 실시설계용역을 하고 국가유산청 설계 승인, 매장유산협의 등의 행정절차 완료 후 장마가 시작되는 6월 전 정비공사를 마무리할 계획이다.
